What you'll be up to

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be part of the passionate Shared Tech team with 4 engineers and you will play a critical role in building the next generation platform, services and tools to tell GameHouse’s amazing stories. You are experienced with C# and Unity, love coding and have a passion for creating story driven games. Together with your team, you work in close collaboration with the game studios and tackle the technical challenges of supporting our free-to-play games. 

Next to that you’re responsible for:

  • Collaborating with other backend engineers of other studios
  • Thinking of improvements on workflow and you suggest development on new tools
  • Leading the development of new tools that help other departments to perform better
  • The full backend ownership, from implementation to deployment, lies with you
  • Monitoring, and taking care of all existing backend services

Why you're awesome

  • You have 5+ years of backend programming experience in one or more of these languages: C#, PHP.
  • You have experience with designing and orchestrating scalable systems.
  • It’s not your first time monitoring live systems, you have experience with Kibana, Grafana, Datadog, etc…
  • You are willing to understand and help other departments by creating the tools they need
  • You are an absolute team player! To intensively cooperate work with both your team, and the backend engineers in other locations, you have to be a people’s person
  • You’re well capable of explaining technical challenges to non-technical people
  • It’s no hurdle for you to communicate in English. GameHouse is an international company, so proficiency in English is a must
  • And lastly, experience in the gaming industry is a big plus!
