Women should be represented more within the game industry. We believe this should be a national, international and strategic priority. More diversity and more perspectives lead to stronger teams, better insights and innovative new products.
Women in Games is a not for profit organisation founded in 2009 when women numbered only 6% of the Games Industry workforce. They managed to boost that statistic to 22% in 2020. Something they can be quite proud of! We believe in their mission: “To establish a gaming industry, culture and community free from discrimination, where full equity of opportunity, treatment and conditions empowers all girls and women, from all ethnicities, of all orientations, to achieve their full potential in the games and esports industries.”
